Bluebells
Virginia bluebells mertensia virginica.
I first saw these bluebells in town, growing around a fire hydrant, where the property owner was trying to eradicate them. I dug some up and brought them here when we moved out here. They love creeksides that get flooded. Not far from us is a huge area of them, next to a large creek prone to flooding under the trees. Beautiful.
I planted ours in our Squishy Meadow and by the little creek. These are still blooming even after the floods covered them.
