Bullfrog
This enormous bullfrog - Rana catesbeiana lives in a culvert down the way. It's huge - the size of a cow, I swear.
OK, I'm exaggerating. It's the size of a large man's fist. And it booms.
Here's another great page and if you go to the bottom, in the chart labelled Additional Media, you can hear the call. It's loud. And amazing. And we hear it out here all summer long.
