Giveaway - Crochet Shawl Kit

It's time for another July Celebration Giveaway!

This giveaway is especially for my readers who love yarn.   I'm offering one of my hand dyed yarn kits that includes 4 skeins of gorgeous hand dyed cotton yarn [More than 1000 yds total] and a pattern for this beautiful crocheted ripple shawl.   It works up fast and easy.  [If you don't crochet, you can knit a simple ripple using large needles and you're good to go!]

This is a perfect summer project for traveling.  The finished shawl is light and lacy and good for summer evenings and air conditioned restaurants.

Winner gets her/his choice of these colors:

Nepeta works up like an impressionist painting.  Think Monet's garden.

These are the blues and lavenders of Cool Water.  [My personal favorite!]

And for those of you who prefer warmer colors, I've got a kit in all the tonal shades of Golden Sands.

To enter, leave a comment on the blog before midnight, Sunday, July 14th, 2013 [EDT].   Tell me what your favorite summer projects are.

[Giveaway open to residents of the US only.  Please watch the blog and contact me immediately if you are the winner.  Prizes must be claimed within one month.]

  7. Nepeta and Cool Waters are both gorgeous to me! Right now, I'm knitting a pair of socks as part of a KAL, and I'm also trying to get some birthday/Christmas presents done. There's super-chunky cowl on my needles right now that will go to a friend. Thanks for hosting such a wonderful giveaway!

  8. I am definitely partial to the blues! I love both Nepeta and the Cool Water colorways! My favorite summer project has been volunteering in the textile studio at Conner Prairie. I weave things there that I don't regularly put on the loom at home--dimity in 20/2 (or finer!) cotton and huck lace in linen.

  10. This summer, my main focus is working with my inkle loom. After receiving it for Christmas, I haven't had much time to play. Now I am working on warping it for more bookmarks while watching the kids swim in the backyard pool!

  11. Now that my children are older I have been working on a "studio" for my weaving and fiber projects. So I am weaving blankets and setting up shelves. I am making soap and felting. A summer take along knitting project would be fun too. I love the blues. I enjoy your pics.

  13. That Nepeta is one of the most beautiful yarns I've ever seen. I love to crochet and am learning to knit as well, and the size of that shawl is perfect. Thanks for this opportunity!

  14. Beautiful yarns Robin. In the summer I love doing projects around the house. I haven't had time in the more recent years for my needlework, but I used to do a lot of cross-stitching. I also love your towels. They are beautiful.
