In the studio

Dye season is in full swing now.   I like to take advantage of the warm weather when I dye cellulose fibers - they love the heat.    This is what I've been working on lately.
Lots of cool cotton yarns [as well as a lot of other yarns] to take up to the Michigan Fiber Festival for this year's festival on August 19-21, 2011.  I hope I see you there!

It's been cool enough to dye up some protein fibers, too and I'm hurrying to get them done before the hot hot weather starts up again this weekend.   Pics of them later.

  1. What would be some advantages of cellulose yarn over cotton yarn for the crafter? Or is it just more of a textural thing?

    Those are gorgeous colors!
