
We have two varieties of this beautiful wildflower around here. Claytonia virginica is white or white with pink stripes.
It blooms in March or April for a week or two, then it's gone.

I found this one with pink stripes, too.

Right next to them I found this. Claytonia caroliniana is pink with dark pink stripes - and much rarer. We're lucky to have a few of these here.
