Out in the middle of a brushy hill there is a clump of Siberian iris blooming away. Either a stray seed blew there or a stray bit of root ended up there during one of our digging projects when we were moving dirt away from the house.
At any rate they're very happy where they are. They popped up in a place where there is a bit of run-off and in weather like we've been having, it stays good and damp all the time. Siberians love that.
